PERSONAL TRAINING AT ROAR IS CHANGING

Update on Personal Training

When Roar first opened, personal training was an important part of our story. It gave us the chance to connect one-on-one, introduce women to strength, and help build the foundation of confidence that Roar is built on today. Many of you trusted us with your time and energy through personal training, and we are deeply grateful for your commitment and support.

As our vision for Roar grew, we found that the heart of what we do lives in group strength. Classes allow us to reach more women, make training accessible, and create the community that makes Roar so special.

With this in mind, we have made the difficult decision to phase out ongoing personal training packages. Moving forward, our focus will remain on group training, with limited single-session personal training available by request for specific situations.

When Personal Training is Available

We now provide single-session personal training appointments only, designed as stand-alone support rather than an ongoing program. These sessions are available for:

  • Women who want a one-time check-in before starting classes

  • Questions on form, technique, or modifications

  • Girls ages 12 to 17 who need approval to join class alongside a parent

For Clients with Personal Training Packages

If you have an active package, you are welcome to complete your remaining sessions. If you prefer, we are also happy to apply the remaining value of your package as a credit toward your Roar account for use in classes. This is entirely optional and up to you.

FAQs

  • Yes. You are welcome to complete all your remaining sessions.

  • No. Converting your remaining balance to class credits is optional. You may choose whichever works best for you.

  • Most women who think they are not ready for classes actually do great in them. Our classes are designed to meet you where you are, with modifications and coaching provided every step of the way. If you want accountability, community, and strength at an accessible pace, classes are the best fit.

    Personal training is reserved for very specific cases, such as age-related concerns, unique injuries, or when an initial one-time check-in is needed before starting classes. If you are unsure, reach out to the studio and we can help guide you toward the best option.

  • We are happy to provide you referrals to trusted San Francisco trainers who offer private sessions.

  • Yes, but only for those specific situations listed above. Please reach out to info@roarsf.com to request a session.

  • Our focus across all Roar locations is on group strength training and community, and we do not plan to bring back ongoing packages. Single-sessions will remain available by request for the specific situations listed above.
